ALEXANDRIA, Va., Nov. 25 -- United States Patent no. 12,478,371, issued on Nov. 25, was assigned to National Cancer Center (Tokyo) and OLYMPUS Corp. (Tokyo).

"Medical stapler" was invented by Takashi Nakamura (Hachioji, Japan), Hiroyuki Takayama (Hachioji, Japan), Satoru Nonaka (Tokyo), Ichiro Oda (Tokyo) and Seiichiro Abe (Tokyo).
