ALEXANDRIA, Va., July 23 -- United States Patent no. 12,364,690, issued on July 22, was assigned to National Cancer Center (Tokyo) and Eisai R&D Management Co. Ltd. (Tokyo).
"Therapeutic agent for bile duct cancer" was invented by Tatsuhiro Shibata (Tokyo), Yasuhito Arai (Tokyo), Kenichi Nomoto (Andover, Mass.), Tomio Nakamura (Tokyo), Akihiko Tsuruoka (Tokyo) and Saori Miyano (Tsukuba, Japan).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "The present invention provides a therapeutic agent for bile duct cancer comprising 5-((2-(4-(1-(2-hydroxyethyl)piperidin-4-yl)benzamide)pyridin-4-yl)oxy)-6-(2-methoxyethoxy)-N-methyl-1H-indole-1-carboxamide or a pharmacologically acceptable salt thereof."
