ALEXANDRIA, Va., June 5 -- United States Patent no. 12,274,688, issued on April 15, was assigned to NANO TARGETING & THERAPY BIOPHARMA INC. (Taipei, Taiwan) and SCINOPHARM TAIWAN LTD. (Tainan, Taiwan).

"Drug-loaded mesoporous silica nanoparticle for prevention and treatment of brain cancers or brain metastases" was invented by Cheng-Hsun Wu (Hsinchu County, Taiwan), Si-Han Wu (Taoyuan, Taiwan), Rong-Lin Zhang (Pingtung County, Taiwan), Chung-Yuan Mou (Taipei, Taiwan) and Hardy Wai Hong Chan (New Taipei, Taiwan).
