ALEXANDRIA, Va., July 3 -- United States Patent no. 12,345,871, issued on July 1, was assigned to MITSUBISHI HEAVY INDUSTRIES LTD. (Tokyo) and TOKYO INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY (Tokyo).

"Inspection cable guide mechanism, driving device, inspection cable insertion jig, and gas turbine inspection system including these" was invented by Yasutaka Fuke (Tokyo), Hirone Komatsu (Tokyo), Takashi Matsuzawa (Tokyo), Shin Asano (Tokyo), Kotaro Tadano (Tokyo), Koshiro Irie (Tokyo) and Yoichi Sato (Tokyo).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "An inspection cable guide mechanism of the present disclosure includes a heat-resistant sheath having flexibility through which a cable is allowed to be inserted and cooling air...
