ALEXANDRIA, Va., July 16 -- United States Patent no. 12,359,059, issued on July 15, was assigned to Mitsubishi Chemical Corp. (Tokyo).

"Biaxially stretched film, film with cured resin layer, and metal laminated film" was invented by Taiki Tsuruoka (Nagahama, Japan), Shunsuke Koido (Nagahama, Japan) and Tomohiro Suzuki (Nagahama, Japan).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "Disclosed is a biaxially stretched film containing two or more kinds of polyesters, in which at least one of the polyesters is a polybutylene naphthalate resin (A), and a dielectric tangent at 28 GHz is 0.0040 or less. There can be provided a biaxially stretched film having excellent low-dielectric properties."
