ALEXANDRIA, Va., June 16 -- United States Patent no. 12,303,595, issued on May 20, was assigned to Medtronic Inc. (Minneapolis).

"Methods of administering anti-epilepsy agents and transport inhibitors to a subject" was invented by Brian A. Duclos (Minneapolis).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "Broad cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) distribution of an agent is achievable by delivering the agent in a liquid formulation to the CSF at flow rates less than 500 microliters per hour, such as between about 2 microliters per hour and about 100 microliters per hour."

The patent was filed on Dec. 6, 2023, under Application No. 18/531,229.
