ALEXANDRIA, Va., Sept. 30 -- United States Patent no. 12,428,708, issued on Sept. 30, was assigned to MATERION NEWTON INC. (Newton, Mass.).

"Tantalum based alloy that is resistant to aqueous corrosion" was invented by Paul R. Aimone (Bridgewater, Mass.) and Evan Hinshaw (Hickory, N.C.).
