ALEXANDRIA, Va., June 19 -- United States Patent no. 12,330,954, issued on June 17, was assigned to Li Industries Inc. (Pineville, N.C.).

"Systems and methods for the recycling of lithium from battery waste" was invented by David Young (Sudbury, Mass.), Tairan Yang (Indian Land, S.C.), Panni Zheng (Charlotte, N.C.) and Zheng Li (Charlotte, N.C.).
