ALEXANDRIA, Va., June 5 -- United States Patent no. 12,275,969, issued on April 15, was assigned to KOOKMINBIO CORP. (Jeollabuk-do, South Korea).

"Halophilic Bacillus amyloliquefaciens KMUS1 which produces thrombolytic enzyme nattokinase" was invented by Moon Hee Sung (Seoul, South Korea), Misun Kwak (Goyang-si, South Korea) and Jong-Hoon Kim (Goyang-si, South Korea).
