ALEXANDRIA, Va., Oct. 28 -- United States Patent no. 12,454,582, issued on Oct. 28, was assigned to Kimberly-Clark Worldwide Inc. (Neenah, Wis.).
"Nanofibrillated cellulose fibers" was invented by Jian Qin (Appleton, Wis.), Donald E. Waldroup (Roswell, Ga.), Youquan Su (Shanghai) and Liyi Shi (Shanghai).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A spray dried non-hydrogen bonded (NHB) nano-fibrillated cellulose (NFC) composition and methods for preparing such composition are disclosed. The spray dried NFC with a NHB effect results in low packing density."
The patent was filed on March 9, 2023, under Application No. 18/180,900.
