ALEXANDRIA, Va., July 3 -- United States Patent no. 12,343,300, issued on July 1, was assigned to Kemeny Healthcare Inc. (San Jose, Calif.).

"Systems for treating Peyronies disease" was invented by Csaba Truckai (Saratoga, Calif.) and Akos Toth (Cupertino, Calif.).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "Systems and methods for treating Peyronie's disease, including systems for generating acoustic shock waves within an enclosed negative pressure chamber to fragment or otherwise modify plaque in a patient's penile shaft."

The patent was filed on May 19, 2021, under Application No. 17/303,082.
