ALEXANDRIA, Va., July 9 -- United States Patent no. 12,350,266, issued on July 8, was assigned to Janssen Pharmaceutica NV (Beerse, Belgium).

"FGFR2 inhibitors for the treatment of cholangiocarcinoma" was invented by Jacqueline Cirillo Bussolari (Skillman, N.J.).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "Disclosed herein are methods of treating cholangiocarcinoma in a patient comprising: evaluating a biological sample from the patient for the presence of one or more FGFR mutants including at least the FGFR2 SNP C383R; and treating the patient with an FGFR inhibitor if one or more FGFR mutants including at least the FGFR2 SNP C383R are present in the sample."
