ALEXANDRIA, Va., Feb. 19 -- United States Patent no. 12,229,555, issued on Feb. 18, was assigned to International Business Machines Corp. (Armonk, N.Y.).
"Generating masks for formats including masking restrictions" was invented by Ariel Farkash (Shimshit, Israel) and Micha Gideon Moffie (Zichron Yaakov, Israel).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "An example system includes a processor to receive an instance of a composite format comprising a masking restriction. The processor can generate a mask for the instance of the composite format based on the masking restriction. The processor can output the generated mask."
