ALEXANDRIA, Va., Aug. 26 -- United States Patent no. 12,398,471, issued on Aug. 26, was assigned to INSTITUT DE RECHERCHE TECHNOLOGIQUE MATERIAUX METALLURGIE PROCEDES (Metz, France).

"Chemical polishing bath for aluminum and aluminum alloys, and method using such a bath" was invented by Jerome Frayret (Le Triadou, France), Joffrey Tardelli (Bertrange, France) and Loic Exbrayat (Illkirch Graffenstaden, France).
