ALEXANDRIA, Va., June 6 -- United States Patent no. 12,280,054, issued on April 22, was assigned to Incyte Corp. (Wilmington, Del.).
"Treatment of hidradenitis suppurativa using JAK inhibitors" was invented by Michael D. Howell (Kennett Square, Pa.) and Paul Smith (Wilmington, Del.).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "The present application provides methods of treating hidradenitis suppurativa in a patient in need thereof, comprising administering to the patient a therapeutically effective amount of a compound which inhibits JAK1 and/or JAK2, or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof."
