ALEXANDRIA, Va., Jan. 20 -- United States Patent no. 12,529,479, issued on Jan. 20, was assigned to Illinois Tool Works Inc. (Glenview, Ill.).

"Two-level rapid cooking oven and multi-tiered rack assembly for the same" was invented by Paul Storiz (Glenview, Ill.), Christopher Hopper (Buffalo Grove, Ill.), Dionysios Tsiogkas (Des Plaines, Ill.) and Joshua Linton (Winnetka, Ill.).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A multi-tier rack assembly for use in an oven including a cooking chamber, a convective heating system configured to provide heated air into the cooking chamber, and a radio frequency (RF) heating system configured to provide RF energy into the cooking chamber may include a bottom tier rack...
