ALEXANDRIA, Va., Jan. 13 -- United States Patent no. 12,525,097, issued on Jan. 13, was assigned to IGT (Las Vegas).
"Multi-player tournament and competition" was invented by Dwayne Nelson (Las Vegas) and Paul A. Johnson (Reno, Nev.).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "In certain embodiments, the present disclosure relates to a gaming system that enables a common gaming device to engage multiple players in a common or separate gaming session(s) that can be configured as a multi-player tournament."
The patent was filed on Feb. 2, 2023, under Application No. 18/104,861.
