ALEXANDRIA, Va., Jan. 28 -- United States Patent no. 12,535,427, issued on Jan. 27, was assigned to Honeywell International Inc. (Charlotte, N.C.).

"Probing film that absorbs and reacts with gases, with light of different wavelengths, humidity detection, and optionally temperature detection" was invented by Peter Tobias (Minneapolis) and Christopher Zins (Coon Rapids, Minn.).
