ALEXANDRIA, Va., July 23 -- United States Patent no. 12,364,962, issued on July 22, was assigned to HEPATOCHEM INC. (Beverly, Mass.).

"Photochemistry device with a plurality of UV and visible light sources that carry out photocatalytic reactions" was invented by Marc J. Bazin (Beverly, Mass.) and Ryan S. Buzdygon (Beverly, Mass.).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A device includes an insulated reaction chamber, light sources above a stirring module, the light sources surrounding the reaction chamber, and holders containing reaction vessels, the holders configured to fit within the insulated reaction chamber in a manner that enables an even distribution of light between the reaction vessels."
