ALEXANDRIA, Va., July 9 -- United States Patent no. 12,355,862, issued on July 8, was assigned to Hemi Labs (Winston Salem, N.C.).
"Method and system for utilizing the infrastructure of a blockchain to enhance the degree of security and veracity of another blockchain" was invented by Justin Fisher (Delray Beach, Fla.) and Maxwell Sanchez (Albuquerque, N.M.).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "The invention is a system and method for improving the reliability of data on blockchain by proofing the data onto another blockchain by use of nonfederated nodes. Contemplated within the scope of the invention is resolution process for data forks within a blockchain network."
