ALEXANDRIA, Va., Nov. 11 -- United States Patent no. 12,467,186, issued on Nov. 11, was assigned to Haier US Appliance Solutions Inc. (Wilmington, Del.).

"Detecting a presence of a rinse additive during a rinse cycle of a washing machine appliance" was invented by Mark Banta (Pewee Valley, Ky.) and James Quentin Pollett (Louisville, Ky.).
