ALEXANDRIA, Va., Feb. 17 -- United States Patent no. 12,553,220, issued on Feb. 17, was assigned to Great Plains Manufacturing Inc. (Salina, Kan.).
"Work machine system with smart drive" was invented by Matthew Shobe (Salina, Kan.), Yuji Fukuda (Grapevine, Kan.) and Jeff Welsh (Abilene, Kan.).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A system comprising a work machine and an attachment removably coupled with the work machine. The attachment includes an identification module comprising a transceiver configured to communicate with a control system of the work machines so as to improve the functionality and efficiency of the attachment and of the work machines."
