ALEXANDRIA, Va., Aug. 12 -- United States Patent no. 12,385,037, issued on Aug. 12, was assigned to GRAIL INC. (Menlo Park, Calif.).

"Enrichment of short nucleic acid fragments in sequencing library preparation" was invented by Byoungsok Jung (Atherton, Calif.) and Alex Aravanis (San Mateo, Calif.).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "Methods for preparing enriched sequencing libraries from test samples that contain double-stranded deoxyribonucleic acid (dsDNA) are provided."

The patent was filed on Nov. 15, 2023, under Application No. 18/510,295.
