US Patent Issued to Gates on Feb. 25 for "Reinforced food grade belts and manufacturing method" (New Hampshire, Massachusetts Inventors)

ALEXANDRIA, Va., Feb. 26 -- United States Patent no. 12,234,097, issued on Feb. 25, was assigned to Gates Corp. (Denver).

"Reinforced food grade belts and manufacturing method" was invented by Mark William Scharr (Deerfield, N.H.) and Gerhard Hans Fickenwirth (Beverly, Mass.).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A continuous loop reinforced food grade belt includes a plurality of extruded filaments comprising a meltable synthetic polymer, and at least one matrix material embedding the filaments.
