US Patent Issued to FUKUSHIMA PREFECTURE on July 22 for "Strawberry plant named 'Fukushima ST14Go'" (Japanese Inventors)

ALEXANDRIA, Va., July 23 -- United States Patent no. PP36,840, issued on July 22, was assigned to FUKUSHIMA PREFECTURE (Japan).

"Strawberry plant named 'Fukushima ST14Go'" was invented by Miho Akiba (Koriyama, Japan) and Satomi Miyashita (Shibukawa, Japan).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "'Fukushima ST14Go' is a new vigorous strawberry variety having an upright growth habit that can withstand cold temperatures. 'Fukushima ST14Go' has large, strong yellowish red, conical fruit having pale pink flesh."

The patent was filed on March 3, 2023, under Application No. 18/445,019.
