ALEXANDRIA, Va., Dec. 9 -- United States Patent no. PP37,139, issued on Dec. 9, was assigned to Florica Farms Inc. (Orlando, Fla.).

"Dracaena plant named 'LULU'" was invented by Julio Gamboa Ceciliano (San Jose, Costa Rica).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "The variety 'LULU' is a cultivar of the Dracaena deremensis plants. It can reach 66 cm height in a 21 cm diameter pot, with an average of approximately 40-46 leaves per plant. The arrangement of the leaves is a rosette disposition wrapped around the stem. Shows a dark green colored foliage in lower leaves, and a light green in the upper leaves."

The patent was filed on Jan. 30, 2025, under Application No. 19/041,926.
