ALEXANDRIA, Va., June 5 -- United States Patent no. 12,275,706, issued on April 15, was assigned to Exelixis Inc. (Alameda, Calif.).

"Malate salt of N-(4-{[6,7-bis(methyloxy) quinolin-4-yloxy}phenyl)-N'-(4-fluorophenyl)cyclopropane-1,1-dicarboxamide, and crystalline forms thereof for the treatment of cancer" was invented by Adrian St. Clair Brown (Ely, Great Britain), Peter Lamb (Oakland, Calif.) and William P. Gallagher (Princeton, N.J.).
