ALEXANDRIA, Va., Dec. 31 -- United States Patent no. 12,508,556, issued on Dec. 30, was assigned to Dow Silicones Corp. (Midland, Mich.) and The Regents of the University of Michigan (Ann Arbor, Mich.).

"Static mixer" was invented by Bizhong Zhu (Midland, Mich.), Stanley Yee (Midland, Mich.), Matthew Hildner (Ann Arbor, Mich.), Jeffrey Plott (Ann Arbor, Mich.) and Albert Shih (Ann Arbor, Mich.).
