US Patent Issued to DePuy Synthes Products on Feb. 10 for "Medical instrument sterilization case tracking" (British, American, Indian Inventors)

ALEXANDRIA, Va., Feb. 11 -- United States Patent no. 12,544,473, issued on Feb. 10, was assigned to DePuy Synthes Products Inc. (Raynham, Mass.).

"Medical instrument sterilization case tracking" was invented by Avery Price (Reading, Pa.), Rene Haag (Berwyn, Pa.), Sriram Raghunathan (Chennai, India) and Daniel Essafi (Manchester, Great Britain).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A battery-powered tracking component may be attached to a sterilization case. The tracking component may collect, store and transmit usage information associated with the sterilization case.
