ALEXANDRIA, Va., Nov. 18 -- United States Patent no. 12,473,334, issued on Nov. 18, was assigned to Dana-Farber Cancer Institute Inc. (Boston).
"SWI/SNF family chromatin remodeling complexes and uses thereof" was invented by Cigall Kadoch (Tiburon, Calif.), Nazar Mashtalir (Allston, Mass.), Brittany C. Michel (Brookline, Mass.) and Andrew D'Avino (Boston).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "The present invention is based, in part, on the novel discovery of the architecture and assembly pathway of three different classes of mammalian SWI/SNF complexes, compositions comprising the isolated modified SWI/SNF complexes, and methods of screening for modulators of the function and/or stability of same."
