ALEXANDRIA, Va., July 23 -- United States Patent no. 12,365,696, issued on July 22, was assigned to DANA-FARBER CANCER INSTITUTE INC. (Boston).
"Small-molecule focal adhesion kinase (FAK) inhibitors" was invented by Nathanael Gray (Stanford, Calif.), David Scott (Newton, Mass.), Brian Groendyke (Chestnut Hill, Mass.), Behnam Nabet (Boston) and Mikaela Mohardt (Brookline, Mass.).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "Disclosed are compounds that possess inhibitory activity against FAK. Also disclosed are pharmaceutical compositions containing the compounds and methods of using the compounds to treat cancer mediated by aberrant FAK activity."
