ALEXANDRIA, Va., Aug. 12 -- United States Patent no. 12,385,900, issued on Aug. 12, was assigned to DAIKIN INDUSTRIES LTD. (Osaka, Japan) and THE UNIVERSITY OF TOKYO (Tokyo).
"Method for evaluating cytotoxicity of gas" was invented by Ikumi Ikejima (Osaka, Japan), Hiroshi Matsumoto (Osaka, Japan) and Kohei Sawada (Tokyo).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A method for evaluating the cytotoxicity of a gas, the method being applicable to cells present in a cell culture medium, namely, to cells other than bronchial- or lung-derived cells. The method including: a gas dissolution step for dissolving a gas in a cell culture medium, and a cell evaluation step for measuring a cell function, in this order....
