ALEXANDRIA, Va., July 16 -- United States Patent no. 12,358,841, issued on July 15, was assigned to DAIICHI KIGENSO KAGAKU KOGYO Co. LTD. (Osaka, Japan).

"Stabilized zirconia sintered body and zirconia powder" was invented by Masayuki Takai (Osaka, Japan) and Keita Kanenishi (Osaka, Japan).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "Provided is a stabilized zirconia sintered body which comprises a fluorescent agent containing zirconium and titanium, and shows fluorescence when irradiated with light including light of a wavelength of 250 nm to 380 nm."

The patent was filed on Jan. 12, 2021, under Application No. 17/767,376.
