US Patent Issued to Council of Scientific and Industrial Research on Oct. 21 for "Highly active and durable non-noble metal-sulphide based HER catalyst and the preparation thereof" (Indian Inventors)

ALEXANDRIA, Va., Oct. 28 -- United States Patent no. 12,448,694, issued on Oct. 21, was assigned to Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (New Delhi).

"Highly active and durable non-noble metal-sulphide based HER catalyst and the preparation thereof" was invented by Selvaraj Kaliaperumal (Pune, India) and Manoj Shanmugasundaram (Pune, India).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A highly active and exceptionally durable non-noble metal-sulphide based Hydrogen Evolution Reaction (HER) catalyst and the preparation thereof. More particularly, provided is a highly active earth abundant metal-sulphide based HER catalyst with exceptionally durable hydrogen evolution activity even after 100 hrs."
