ALEXANDRIA, Va., July 16 -- United States Patent no. 12,358,893, issued on July 15, was assigned to Corxel Pharmaceuticals Hong Kong Ltd. (Causeway Bay, Hong Kong).

"Metalloenzyme inhibitor compounds" was invented by Steven Sparks (Apex, N.C.) and Christopher M. Yates (Raleigh, N.C.).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "Provided are compounds having metalloenzyme modulating activity, and methods of treating diseases, disorders or symptoms thereof mediated by such metalloenzymes."
