ALEXANDRIA, Va., Nov. 18 -- United States Patent no. 12,472,233, issued on Nov. 18, was assigned to City of Hope (Duarte, Calif.).

"Administration of engineered T cells for treatment of cancers in the central nervous system" was invented by Behnam Badie (Duarte, Calif.), Christine E. Brown (Duarte, Calif.), Stephen J. Forman (Duarte, Calif.) and Saul J. Priceman (Duarte, Calif.).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "An improved method of treating cancers with engineered T cells is described."

The patent was filed on Sept. 18, 2020, under Application No. 17/025,723.
