ALEXANDRIA, Va., June 4 -- United States Patent no. 12,318,417, issued on June 3, was assigned to Church & Dwight Co. Inc. (Princeton, N.J.).
"Lactobacillus compositions and methods for prevention and treatment of microbial infection" was invented by Noah Paul Zimmerman (Chapel Hill, N.C.) and Amy Wescott (Rubicon, Wis.).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "The present invention relates to microbial compositions containing Lactobacillus, and methods for reducing growth of microbes that cause infection, such as urogenital tract infection and for treating or preventing the same using the compositions thereof."
