ALEXANDRIA, Va., June 6 -- United States Patent no. 12,279,855, issued on April 22, was assigned to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center (Los Angeles).

"Highly-timed resolved myocardial blood-oxygen-level-dependent magnetic resonance imaging" was invented by Rohan Dharmakumar (Moorpark, Calif.) and Hsin-Jung Yang (Los Angeles).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "The invention provides various methods for imaging a subject's cardiovascular system. The imaging methods may be used to diagnose or prognose various cardiovascular diseases in the subject, without contrast agents or radioactive tracers."
