ALEXANDRIA, Va., June 10 -- United States Patent no. 12,293,350, issued on May 6, was assigned to Capital One Services LLC (McLean, Va.).

"Transaction card with a removable magnetic strip" was invented by Tyler Maiman (Melville, N.Y.), Joshua Edwards (Philadelphia) and Bryant Yee (Silver Spring, Md.).
