ALEXANDRIA, Va., June 16 -- United States Patent no. 12,305,438, issued on May 20, was assigned to Brose Fahrzeugteile SE & Co. KG Bamberg (Bamberg, Germany).

"Closure element of a motor vehicle" was invented by Michael Wuest (Muhr am See, Germany) and Carsten Topf (Schonungen, Germany).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A closure element of a motor vehicle, the closure element having a closure body, to the exterior of which a decorative strip is connected. The decorative strip accommodates a radar sensor unit having a housing."
