US Patent Issued to Bridgestone Europe NV/SA on July 29 for "Tire tread with improved sipe on three levels and tire" (Italian Inventors)

ALEXANDRIA, Va., July 30 -- United States Patent no. 12,370,837, issued on July 29, was assigned to Bridgestone Europe NV/SA (Zaventem, Belgium).

"Tire tread with improved sipe on three levels and tire" was invented by Guiseppe Rodriquez (Rome), Pasquale Agoretti (Rome) and Antonio Tirone (Rome).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "The present invention relates to a tread for tyres. Specifically, it refers to a tread that features a 3-level tread geometry that is optimised in such a way as to ensure long-term high performance on wet and/or snow-covered surfaces, whilst maintaining the handling characteristics and braking capacity on dry and/or smooth surfaces under new tyre conditions."
