ALEXANDRIA, Va., July 30 -- United States Patent no. 12,371,651, issued on July 29, was assigned to Boehringer Ingelheim International GmbH (Ingelheim am Rhein, Germany).

"Bioreactor or fermenter for the culturing of cells or microorganisms in suspension in industrial scale" was invented by Torsten Wilhelm Schulz (Biberach an der Riss, Germany) and Thomas Wucherpfennig (Ulm, Germany).
