ALEXANDRIA, Va., June 9 -- United States Patent no. 12,286,455, issued on April 29, was assigned to BOEHRINGER INGELHEIM ANIMAL HEALTH USA INC. (Duluth, Ga.).

"Anthelmintic depsipeptide compounds" was invented by Loic Le Hir de Fallois (Hopewell, N.J.), Greg Pacofsky (Raleigh, N.C.), Alan Long (Flowery Branch, Ga.), Charles Meng (Grayson, Ga.), Hyoung Ik Lee (Alpharetta, Ga.) and Cyprian O. Ogbu (Durham, N.C.).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "The present invention provides cyclic depsipeptide compounds of formula (I) and compositions comprising the compounds that are effective against parasites that harm animals. The compounds and compositions may be used for combating parasites in or on mammals...
