ALEXANDRIA, Va., Aug. 6 -- United States Patent no. 12,376,538, issued on Aug. 5, was assigned to Board of Supervisors of Louisiana State University and Agricultural and Mechanical College (Baton Rouge, La.).
"Rice cultivar designated 'CLL17'" was invented by Adam Famoso (Lafayette, La.) and Steven D. Linscombe (Mountain Home, Turks and Caicos Islands).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "The herbicide-tolerant rice cultivar designated 'CLL17' and its hybrids and derivatives are disclosed."
