ALEXANDRIA, Va., Sept. 23 -- United States Patent no. 12,419,811, issued on Sept. 23, was assigned to BOARD OF REGENTS OF THE UNIVERSITY OF NEBRASKA (Lincoln, Neb.).
"Hydrogel drug delivery composition" was invented by Dong Wang (Omaha, Neb.), Yosif Almoshari (Abha, Saudi Arabia), Rongguo Ren (Omaha, Neb.) and Ningrong Chen (Omaha, Neb.).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "Disclosed is a hydrogel drug delivery composition comprising a therapeutic agent and a poloxamer, wherein the poloxamer is modified to be capable of adhering to a surface of bones or teeth, and wherein the poloxamer is modified by pyrophosphate, bisphosphonates, acidic peptides or tetracycline and its derivatives."
