ALEXANDRIA, Va., June 4 -- United States Patent no. 12,319,740, issued on June 3, was assigned to BOARD OF REGENTS, THE UNIVERSITY OF TEXAS SYSTEM (Austin, Texas).

"Methods for production of tissue resident memory-like T cells and use thereof" was invented by Cassian Yee (Houston) and Farah Hasan (Houston).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "Provided herein are methods for the production of tissue resident memory-like T cells by the combination of hypoxia and TGFBeta. Further provided herein are methods of using the tissue resident memory T cells as adoptive cell therapy."
