ALEXANDRIA, Va., June 5 -- United States Patent no. 12,274,683, issued on April 15, was assigned to Bayer HealthCare LLC (Indianola, Pa.).
"Topical gel compositions of naproxen" was invented by Olufoyekemi Badejo (Bridgewater, N.J.).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "The present disclosure relates generally to topical analgesic compositions comprising nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, and more specifically to topical gel compositions of naproxen in combination with select neutralizing agents, thereby having enhanced skin permeation and skin retention properties as well as improved aesthetics upon application and drying."
