ALEXANDRIA, Va., March 26 -- United States Patent no. 12,258,896, issued on March 25, was assigned to BASF Mobile Emissions Catalysts LLC (Iselin, N.J.).

"Multi-functional catalysts for the oxidation of NO, the oxidation of NH 3 and the selective catalytic reduction of NOx" was invented by Kevin Beard (Iselin, N.J.), Robert Dorner (Hannover, Germany) and Jan Martin Becker (Hannover, Germany).
