ALEXANDRIA, Va., Dec. 31 -- United States Patent no. 12,510,695, issued on Dec. 30, was assigned to Bank of Canada (Ottawa) and The Governing Council of the University of Toronto (Toronto).
"Optical devices comprising microlenses and laser-fabricated patterns or structures, their manufacture and use" was invented by Charles Douglas Macpherson (Santa Barbara, Calif.), Badr Omrane (Ottawa), Sean Magnus Malmberg (Ottawa), Peter Herman (Toronto), Stephen Paulchi Ho (Richmond Hill, Canada) and Ehsan Alimohammadian (Toronto).
