ALEXANDRIA, Va., June 4 -- United States Patent no. 12,321,944, issued on June 3, was assigned to Bank of America Corp. (Charlotte, N.C.).

"Detecting cloned payment cards" was invented by Joel Richard Townsend (Spring Church, Pa.) and Peter Kurrasch (Palatine, Ill.).
